About Sam

Sam was Head of Musical Theatre, Dance and Movement at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts from 2002 – 2012 and is currently an external examiner for Arts Educational.

After a successful performing career as a dancer, singer and recording artist, Sam began her choreographic career working for Thames Television on light entertainment and children’s programmes.

After five years she moved to the theatre, working with Barry Humphries on his critically acclaimed show Back with a Vengeance (Drury Lane and International Tour).

Sam then moved into Musical Theatre and drama, working with Bill Kenwright and Jason Robert Brown amongst others.

In 2008 Sam joined forces with David Walliams and Matt Lucas to choreograph their hugely successful show Little Britain Live (Apollo Hammersmith and National Tour). During this time Sam continued to work on many Musicals, Plays and Operas in London’s West End and the regional Theatres, winning awards for The Hired Man (Salisbury), and both Personals and Rat Pack Confidential enjoying long runs in London’s West End.

Other Musical credits are; Company, (Southwark Playhouse), Pal Joey,(Nottingham Playhouse), Tracey Beaker Gets Real (UK Tour), Demon Headmaster (UK Tour) and Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella (Bristol Old Vic).
