Former student Conor proves that hard work really does pay off
Conor is a shining example of how hard work and determination can lead to great things. Conor came to drama late, joining us as a student of drama and musical theatre when he was 15. He worked hard and soon began to achieve real performance success. He appeared in all our school productions and proved himself to be a real team player, generous and supportive of his fellow students and cast members. Conor took an internship in the Phoenix Office as a Production Assistant and also assisted with teaching in class when he graduated from the school, and went on to appear in our pantomimes at Rhodes, Bishop’s Stortford, taking both lead and chorus parts over the years. Conor has a real love and talent for writing, and he has given many hours to co-write our pantomime scripts, which he does with great humour and understanding of the genre. Conor struggled at times with self-belief and direction, but his determination and love of the arts has seen him forge a promising career as a theatre technician. He now continues to support us all by keeping our students safe backstage and being a real mentor and friend to them. He is a credit to himself and is a real example of “if you think you can, you can”. Well done Conor, we are so proud of everything that you have achieved.
