The Brit School beckons Phoenix student Jemima Bennett
Phoenix Theatre School student Jemima Bennett has successfully gained a place at The Brit School to study Theatre. Jemima, 16, will study for a UAL, Level 3, Extended Diploma in Performing Arts, the equivalent of 3 A’ Levels.
The Brit School, based in Croydon, is the leading Performing and Creative Arts School in the UK and previous graduates include Alele, Jessie J and Katie Melua!
Jemima, a Phoenix student since 2014, is no stranger to the stage, having played Lily in the UK tour of Running Wild and Scout in the national tour of To Kill a Mocking Bird in 2014/2015. Most recently Jemima appeared as one of Dandy Dan’s gang in Phoenix Theatre Arts’ production of Bugsy Malone at the Rhodes, and also as a junior chorus member in Beauty and the Beast, our smash box office pantomime in 2018/2019.
To top it all off, Jemima has also gained a place with the National Youth Theatre to do this year’s summer course.
We are sure that Jemima will flourish at the Brit School and look forward to seeing the next steps in her performing career. Well done Jemima – take every opportunity the Brit School has to offer and enjoy yourself.
