The Kid’s Tent kept the whole family entertained at Bishop’s Stortford’s music festival
Phoenix Theatre School again hosted the Kid’s Tent at this year’s The Bish Bash, Bishop’s Stortford’s very own music festival. Despite grey skies, there was a world of smiles and entertainment to be found inside our tent over the two days, with parties galore led by The Play People, the area’s best kid’s party entertainers, and Bubble Fun from the Phoenix Clowns.
After the kid’s entertainment on Saturday we transformed the tent into the Theatre Tent which led into an evening of cabaret, hosted by Phoenix Theatre Group’s Creative Director, Phil Dale, and which included ex Phoenix student Abigail Carter-Simpson, a stand-up comedienne and performer based in London, and stand-up comic Basil Jamm, a finalist of Amused Moose National Comic of the Year 2019. Other local performers were Three Menopausal Maids and Julie Walker, aka the Parkinality Poet.
The ever popular Phoenix Clowns entertained the crowds on Saturday and Sunday with lots of silly fun and bubbles galore which were much enjoyed by adults and kids alike and the weekend in our tent was finished off on Sunday evening by local comedian Paddy Lennox who hosted the Laughing Bishop Comedy Club. What a great weekend! Thanks to everybody who performed and especially those who came along to join in the fun!
